Pentecost –  Memorial Day Weekend
Today we celebrate the third major festival of the Christian Church year
– the Festival of Pentecost. The church will be decorated with red flowers and
candles will be lighted to represent the gifts of the Spirit.  The story of the first Pentecost,
as written in the Book of Acts, will be read in many languages to provide a sense of
that first Pentecost experience.
